Hello, I’m Dr. Payam Kiani, a naturopathic doctor and member of the team at Nova Health. My interest and strength is helping people who are faced with a cancer diagnosis. I want to ensure my patients feel supported and empowered to make evidence-informed decisions about their healthcare. 

As a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO), I’ve pursued additional training to offer support to those with cancer. I believe in the importance of integrative care—safely blending science-based natural therapies with conventional medicine — and my goal is to improve each patient’s survival, treatment outcomes, and overall quality of life by working alongside their conventional treatments.  I'm currently serving as the president of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (www.OncANP.org), an international education and training organization for integrative cancer care.

Academically, I've had the privilege of educating and supervising student interns for nearly a decade at the teaching clinic for the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) - an experience that deepened my commitment to education and mentorship in this field.

Beyond oncology, I focus on treating a wide range of chronic and acute conditions, including digestive disorders, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease, weight loss, and pain management. 

What drives me in my practice is the connection I build with my patients. I’m here to empower you in your healthcare, to work as a team in creating a meaningful, evidence-based treatment plan that feels right for you, and to collaborate with your other healthcare providers when necessary. My goal is to make your experience not just about treatment but about feeling heard, supported, and in control of your healthcare journey.

Outside of work, I adore raising my two children together with my loving wife and hope they can grow up to be world citizens, contributing to the betterment of humanity. We like to read books, do volunteer work in our community, and swim in the ocean as often as we can.
