HEAVY METAL TOXICITY TESTING

Many vague yet bothersome symptoms may result from heavy metal toxicity as a result of industrialization of our planet. Urine or hair testing can be used to evaluate approximate values of heavy metals that could be contributing to chronic health conditions. These can include mental fog, memory issues, and nervous system dysfunction leading to irritability as well as general fatigue. Kidney and liver issues may also result from heavy metal toxicity. Urine and hair analysis may not be reflective of total body burden but can be an excellent starting point to facilitate treatment options and specific detoxification programs. Mercury, lead and arsenic are the three most common exposures from the environment but certain occupations such as those working in old homes or demolition sites may be at greater risk of other toxic heavy metal exposures.
